Beatrix Potter style attic for grandchildren.
If you like Beatrix Potter then check out my latest pics:
Beatrix Potter style attic space
There was something kind of quintessentially English, very sweet, yet calming and also grounding about painting these characters and scenes in this lovely property, I was really quite invigorated by it all. Of course it helped that I only live a quarter of an hour away in the amazing part of the globe that is Dartmoor, so my commute was also rather splendid. There are three separate areas to view and is a respectful nod to Beatrix Potter's world. That link again:

Large Disney Playroom
Hi folks, I've been beavering away this year and during the spring I painted this rather large playroom mural for the family of the well known premier league footballer, Charlie Austin (Southampton), featuring many of the their favourite Disney scenes and characters. I also added a version of the real Disney Castle that's at the Magic Kingdom, Disneyworld, Florida, complete with firework display. This was an epic commission that took 45 days to complete, I hope you enjoy the little video that tries to capture the artwork as best I could. Hope you like it as much as I do, and as Charlie does! New mural added to website - Woodland fantasy scene in School Library
Hiya, I've been working hard this evening to get this mural I painted last year up on to the Sacredart Murals website. There's always so much to do, resizing and optimising images, adding all the wording and all the extra stuff that you need to do in order to be found on t'internet. So here it is, ready to pop into your field of view with just one click:

Pieced together this composite image to work from...
..with the job of painting this for real to come . Looking forward to it.
This image is a Photoshopped amalgamation of Disney and Disney style artwork I found on the internet, with some "landscaping" to alter the composition and painting over the top to make it lighter and brighter than the original version. I'll be using it as a guide image when I paint this whole thing as a mural in a baby's nursery, in the new year. The individual components of this image we're obviously not therefore painted by me, I can't take credit for that, but the reworking is analogous to making a new song out of digital samples. It is just a guide, no more, so I hope no one is offended, particularly the original artists whose names and whereabouts I don't know!

New website content
There are some updated pages been added to the Sacredart Murals website, with bigger, better quality images and some entirely new never before seen murals. Two of these have been heavily influenced by Mr. Disney, such is the world we live in, and there are others on the Mural Gallery that I'm sure a lot of people haven't seen, so please take a peek, it's free (and looks perty ;)

Safari Mural
Hi folks, I've produced a new page on my website showing the Safari Mural I painted last year. Click on the following link to see...
Sacredart Murals - Safari Mural
I really quite like this one and wouldn't mind it in my house. I'm going to be releasing the designs on both walls as wallpaper in the near future, so it will be available to one and all, worldwide... Can't be bad.

It Works!!
Great! Very impressed with the IFTTT thingy working perfectly, with a simple little "recipe" the test blog entry was popped up on my facebook page timeline, just as I wanted. Not going to use Networked Blogs now as I tried it and found it quite unwieldy to use, plus they have just moved the best bits of it to a paid subscription service called Symphony, which is way overkill for me and not something I want to waste money on monthly. The only thing missing is a blog tab on my facebook page but I can live without that.
Next task was to get a feed for the blog working on my website, and that is now working lovely thanks to FeedWind (http://feed.mikle.com/) which is a nice little wiggit that slots into my html page all snug and cosy like. Brill.
Right, it's late and I've got to do some digital artwork tomorrow, so I'm off to bed.

Starting Out
Ok hi everyone (ie probably just basically me) and, well, here we are, my squeakily new blog which oh so wants to be well oiled and humming with all the hard work of setting up, testing and getting it to work on my website and facebook already done, instead of at this horribly just starting out and probably glitchy stage. The page is glaringly empty, like a wall just coated with dulux brilliant white, before a masterpiece is painted on it, and it's gonna take some work to get past the newbie stick figure bit.
Reasons for the blog...?
Well I'm a mural painting artist and interior design painter working all across the UK and beyond, with my work appearing internationally including France, eastern Europe and the United States, and I like to chat about the jobs I'm working on and post up pictures on my facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Neil.Sacredart. I would also like this interaction with interested people to be seen on my website, http://www.sacredart-murals.co.uk and so a blog which is written once but is posted to both sites, seems like a nice way of doing this.
I'm using Blogger here, and Networked Blogs for facebook, to get things started, then I'll add it to my website somehow, not sure how that works yet but I'm guessing it's not too tricky, tons of people do it... Any suggestions of a good method and the hows and whys would be really helpful if anyone wants to point me in a good direction, otherwise I'll just research as usual using the web and see what I find.
Hopefully I'll have a lovely, visually appealing (with my own artwork) and engaging blog up and running in next to no time, but just to whet your appetite, my next job is really amazing, a real doozy as they say, painting an Indian temple scene as though it has been carved out of the very rock, around the walls of a privately owned indoor swimming pool. This will be tremendous work that will take quite a few months, and should be very fulfilling spiritually, so I'll be posting up updates with pictures of how it's all going, which will give more than just a glimpse of the artist at work, you'll be able to see into my very soul!!!
